For most people renting a car in Dubai for practical reasons rather than for fun, it is simply the correct answer.

Toyota Yaris Rental Prices in Dubai

• Daily rates run from AED 75 to roughly AED 180 depending on the model year, the supplier and how long you take the car. A 2022 or 2023 Yaris from a smaller company in Al Qusais will be at the bottom of that range. A 2026 model from a larger operator with a Dubai Mall branch will be nearer the top.
   

• Weekly rates start from around AED 549. Monthly rates start from around AED 1,049 and run to about AED 1,400 for the newest cars.
   

• The economics are worth understanding: at AED 1,049 per month, a Yaris works out at roughly AED 35 per day. At the daily rate of AED 75, a month would cost AED 2,250. If you need the car for more than about two weeks, take the monthly rate  it is less than half the cost. Most people renting a Yaris in Dubai are doing so for exactly this reason, and it is where the real saving is.

Renting a Toyota Yaris With No Deposit

A standard Yaris rental will carry a security deposit of roughly AED 1,000 to AED 2,000, held as a pre-authorisation on your credit card rather than charged to it. The money is ring-fenced, not taken, and it releases automatically  usually 20 to 30 days after your rental ends, which is longer than most people expect.

A number of suppliers on OneClickDrive offer the Yaris with no deposit at all. These sometimes carry a slightly higher daily rate or require you to take full insurance. For a car at this price point that trade is often worth making, particularly if you are a visitor and do not want a hold sitting on your card for a month after you have flown home.

Filter for no-deposit offers before you book. If you do pay a deposit, always pay it by credit card as a pre-authorisation  never in cash, and never as a straight debit-card charge. Cash is far harder to recover if there is a dispute.
 

Monthly Toyota Yaris Rental in Dubai

Monthly rental is where the Yaris makes the most sense, and it is why most Yaris renters in Dubai are residents rather than tourists. From AED 1,049 per month, it is one of the cheapest ways to have a car in the city.

Monthly deals usually include a mileage allowance of 3,000 to 4,500 km  far more generous per day than the 250 km cap on a daily rental  plus comprehensive insurance, and at most suppliers, servicing and maintenance.

Compare this against buying. A used Yaris in Dubai will cost you AED 35,000–55,000, plus registration, insurance, servicing and depreciation. At AED 1,049 a month you would need to rent for close to three years before you matched the purchase price  and you would never have paid for a service, a tyre or an insurance renewal.

Ask the supplier for the excess mileage charge before you sign. It is the one number that catches people out at the end of the month, and it varies from about 30 fils to over AED 1 per kilometre.
 

Yaris Hatchback or Yaris Sedan  Which One

OneClickDrive lists both, and they are genuinely different cars.

The Yaris hatchback is the smaller of the two. It is easier to park, marginally cheaper, and better suited to someone driving mostly inside the city  Karama, Bur Dubai, the Marina, anywhere parking is tight.

The Yaris Sedan has a proper separate boot and noticeably more luggage space. If you are collecting people from the airport, if you have suitcases, or if you are going to be doing regular runs to Abu Dhabi or Sharjah, take the sedan. The price difference is usually AED 5 to AED 15 per day, which is nothing against the practicality gain.

Both use the same 1.5-litre engine and automatic gearbox. Neither is fast. Neither is trying to be.
 

Delivery, Collection and Dubai Airport

Most companies on OneClickDrive deliver free of charge within Dubai  to hotels, to residential addresses, and to Dubai International Airport. Some charge for delivery to Al Maktoum (DWC) or outside Dubai.

If you want the car waiting at DXB, give the supplier your flight number and terminal when you book rather than on the day. It lets them track your arrival if you are delayed, and it is the difference between a smooth handover and standing in arrivals making phone calls.

Branch collection is free at every company. Several suppliers have branches at Dubai Mall, Al Karama, Business Bay and Al Jaddaf  if you are already nearby, collecting the car yourself is usually the fastest option.
 

What You Need to Rent a Toyota Yaris in Dubai

• UAE residents: a valid UAE driving licence and your Emirates ID.
   

• Visitors: your passport, your visa or entry stamp, and either an International Driving Permit or a licence from a country Dubai recognises directly  which includes the UK, US, Canada, Australia, most of the EU and the GCC states.

Minimum age is typically 21 for a Yaris, which is lower than for larger or more powerful cars. Some suppliers require the licence to have been held for at least one year.

You will need a credit card in the main driver's name for the deposit, unless you have specifically booked a no-deposit rental. Most suppliers will not accept a debit card for the hold.

Insurance, Mileage and Salik  The Numbers That Actually Matter

Basic comprehensive insurance is included in every rental listed on OneClickDrive, as required by RTA Dubai regulations. It covers accidental damage where the fault is not yours, and a police report is required at the time of any accident.

What it does not do is remove your liability entirely. Most policies carry an excess  typically AED 1,000 to AED 1,500 on a Yaris  which is what you pay before insurance takes over. A Collision Damage Waiver reduces or removes it, usually for AED 20–50 per day. On a cheap car, whether that is worth it is a genuine judgement call.

Standard mileage is 250 km per day. Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back is roughly 280 km, so a single day trip will exceed it. Excess mileage is charged per kilometre  confirm the rate before you go.

Salik tolls are AED 5 per gate and are billed to you separately at the end of the rental, either deducted from your deposit or invoiced. This is not included in any advertised daily rate, at any company.
 

Before You Take the Keys

Take a video of the car before you drive it away. Walk around it slowly with your phone recording, then take close-ups of any existing scratch, kerbed wheel or stone chip. Send that video to the supplier immediately by WhatsApp so there is a timestamped record they have received it.

This takes ninety seconds and it is the single most effective thing you can do to protect yourself. The overwhelming majority of deposit disputes in Dubai come down to disagreement about pre-existing damage, and a timestamped video ends that argument before it starts.

Check that the rental agreement is issued under the same company name shown on the OneClickDrive listing. If the paperwork comes back under a different trading name, stop and ask why.

Confirm three numbers in writing before you sign: the deposit amount, the mileage cap, and the insurance excess.
 

Toyota Yaris  Specifications

The Yaris runs a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing around 106 horsepower, driving the front wheels through an automatic gearbox. It seats five, though four is more comfortable.

Fuel economy is the point of this car. It is one of the most efficient petrol cars on the road in the UAE, and on Dubai fuel prices you will spend very little running it. It takes regular 95 petrol.

It has air conditioning that works properly in a Dubai summer, which is not a given at this price point, and a straightforward infotainment system. Safety kit is standard Toyota  unremarkable, entirely adequate.

It is not exciting. It is not supposed to be. It is cheap, it is reliable, it will start every morning, and it will cost you almost nothing to run. That is the entire proposition and it is a good one.
