Exports are usually zero-rated for VAT when completed and documented in time.

Most X7 stock takes the used route instead. Clear any fines, Salik or finance first, with a bank No-Objection Certificate where the car was financed. The RTA then de-registers it and issues temporary export plates and the Export Certificate, which cancels the local registration and replaces the registration card, the Mulkiya. The export is declared to Dubai Customs, and GCC destinations need a VCC to register on arrival.

Two constraints work against this car, and both are arithmetic rather than opinion. The engines are large: at 3.0 and 4.4 litres they sit near the top of every schedule assessed on displacement, and in markets that tax capacity steeply the duty on a V8 can approach what the car costs. The six is the export-sensible engine in almost every destination, and the gap is wide enough to be worth changing your shortlist over. The second is age: the model launched in 2019, so against a strict five-year import limit a meaningful share of what we list today is already outside it, and the cars that fail are exactly the cheap ones. For a new 0 km car that has never been registered: the dealer's purchase invoice in place of the Mulkiya, plus a Certificate of Origin.

For a used car registered in the UAE: the original registration card or Mulkiya, the RTA Export Certificate and temporary export plates, a bank NOC if the car was financed, clearance of fines and Salik, and insurance for the export plates valid for about 14 days.

For both: the buyer's passport or Emirates ID and the seller's ID on a used transfer, the sale invoice showing the price and VIN, the Dubai Customs export declaration, a VCC for GCC destinations, and a Bill of Lading. Check two details here, and on this model they are the ones that cost money if wrong. That the engine capacity is stated correctly, since 3.0 and 4.4 are assessed very differently and a customs officer who cannot see which one it is will assume the larger. And that the model year on the paperwork matches the VIN, because where an age limit applies it is decided on that field alone, and a car described by its registration year rather than its build year can fail an import rule it would otherwise have cleared.
