JAC J7 car rental price in Dubai

Daily Weekly Monthly
JAC J7 (White), 2024 AED 120 AED 800 AED 1,800
JAC J7 (Black), 2023 AED 120 AED 799 AED 1,299
JAC J7 (Red), 2023 AED 89 AED 549 AED 1,599
JAC J7 (Blue), 2023 AED 80 AED 520 AED 1,290
JAC J7 (White), 2024 AED 90 AED 500 AED 1,500

The JAC J7 is a compact five-seat sedan and one of the cheapest cars you can rent in Dubai. It is quiet, economical, comfortable enough for daily commuting, and it costs less than almost anything else on the road with air conditioning and a sunroof.

OneClickDrive lists six live JAC J7 offers in Dubai from vetted rental companies. Prices start at AED 59 per day and AED 1,290 per month.

That is the lowest JAC J7 price in Dubai. Every other supplier we can find is asking more - AED 66, 69, 77, 88, 90, 98, 140, 150. Google's own price guide puts the market floor at AED 70 a day. We are below it.

Zero commission. No booking fee. You book directly with the supplier at their own price.

What a JAC J7 Actually Costs to Rent in Dubai

Daily rates across the Dubai market run from roughly AED 59 to AED 150 depending on the supplier, the model year and the trim. Monthly rates run from about AED 1,290 to AED 2,500.

OneClickDrive's live listings start at AED 59 per day and AED 1,290 per month - the lowest on both counts.

At AED 1,290 a month the J7 works out at roughly AED 43 per day, against a daily rate of AED 59. That is a saving of nearly 30%. If you need the car for more than about three weeks, take the monthly rate.

Watch what is attached to a cheap headline rate. Some companies quote low daily figures with a two- or three-day minimum, a 250 km cap, and a deposit of AED 1,500 that you will not see again for a month. Compare the full terms.

All prices exclude 5% VAT. Salik tolls are AED 5 per gate and are billed separately - no advertised rate in Dubai includes them.

Renting a J7 With No Deposit

A standard JAC J7 deposit runs AED 500 to AED 1,500 - modest, because the car is inexpensive. It is held as a pre-authorisation on your credit card rather than charged, so the money is ring-fenced rather than taken.

It releases slowly, though: usually 20 to 30 days after the rental ends. If you are visiting Dubai for a fortnight, that hold sits on your card for weeks after you have flown home.

Several suppliers offer the J7 with no deposit at all. On a budget rental this is worth filtering for before anything else - it is frequently worth more than saving AED 10 a day.

If you do pay a deposit, pay it by credit card as a pre-authorisation. Never in cash, never as a straight debit-card charge. Both are considerably harder to recover in a dispute.

Monthly J7 Rental in Dubai

From AED 1,290 per month. That typically includes comprehensive insurance, servicing at most suppliers, and a mileage allowance of 4,000 to 7,000 km - far more generous per day than the 250 km cap on a daily rental.

For a resident who needs cheap, reliable transport, this is close to the best value in the Dubai market. No down payment, no loan, no registration, no servicing bill, no depreciation. You hand it back whenever you want.

Set against ownership: a new JAC J7 in the UAE costs around AED 54,000. At AED 1,290 a month you would rent for about three and a half years before matching the purchase price - and in that time you would never pay for a service, a tyre or an insurance renewal.

That calculation is particularly compelling on a Chinese budget brand where the resale value is genuinely uncertain. Renting transfers that risk to the supplier.

Confirm the excess mileage rate in writing before you sign. It is the number that catches people out at month end.

Delivery, Collection and Dubai Airport

Most suppliers listed here deliver free of charge across Dubai - to hotels, residences and Dubai International Airport. Delivery to DWC, Sharjah or Abu Dhabi may carry a fee.

If you want the car waiting at DXB on arrival, give the supplier your flight number and terminal when you book rather than on the day. It lets them track a delayed flight rather than charging you a waiting fee.

Branch collection is free everywhere. Suppliers with JAC J7s typically operate out of Deira, Al Quoz, Business Bay and Bur Dubai.

What You Need to Rent a J7 in Dubai

Minimum age is typically 21 for the J7 - the lowest tier, since it is classed as an economy sedan. Some suppliers additionally require that the licence has been held for at least a year.

You will need a credit card in the main driver's name for the deposit, unless you have specifically booked a no-deposit rental.

Insurance, Mileage and Salik

Basic comprehensive insurance is included in every rental, as required by RTA Dubai regulations. It covers accidental damage where the fault is not yours. A police report is mandatory at the time of any accident - without one, no claim will be processed.

What it does not do is remove your liability. Most policies carry an excess of roughly AED 750 to AED 1,500 on a J7, which you pay before insurance engages. A Collision Damage Waiver reduces or removes it for around AED 20-40 per day.

Standard mileage is 250 km per day, or 4,000-7,000 km per month. Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back is roughly 280 km, so a single day trip will exceed the daily cap.

Salik tolls are AED 5 per gate, billed to you at the end of the rental.

Before You Take the Keys

Video the car before you drive it away. Walk around it slowly with your phone recording, then take close-ups of every existing scratch, kerbed wheel and stone chip. Send that video to the supplier immediately over WhatsApp so there is a timestamped record.

This takes ninety seconds and it prevents the overwhelming majority of deposit disputes in Dubai - nearly all of which come down to disagreement about pre-existing damage. On a budget car that has been rented dozens of times, there will be existing damage. Document it.

Check that the rental agreement is issued under the same company name shown on the OneClickDrive listing.

Get three numbers in writing before you sign: the deposit, the mileage cap, and the insurance excess.

The JAC J7 - What You Are Actually Getting

A compact four-door sedan with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, front-wheel drive, and an automatic gearbox. Five seats, a decent boot, and a surprisingly generous equipment list for the price.

JAC is a Chinese manufacturer with a long-standing joint venture with Volkswagen - which shows in the engineering. The J7 is not a Volkswagen, but it borrows enough of the discipline to feel considerably more solid than its price suggests.

What you get as standard on most trims: a large touchscreen, reversing camera, cruise control, and - unusually at this money - a sunroof. The cabin is plain but well put together.

It is not fast and it is not exciting. The 1.5-litre engine is adequate. The gearbox is unremarkable. Nobody rents a J7 for the driving experience.

What it is: cheap, quiet at cruising speed, economical on regular 95 petrol, and comfortable enough to spend a month commuting in without complaint.

The honest summary: at AED 59 a day it is the cheapest way to have a proper five-seat sedan with air conditioning and a sunroof in Dubai. If that is what you need, nothing else on the market beats it on price.

J7, Yaris, or Baleno?

These three occupy the same bracket in Dubai and the choice comes down to what you value.

The Toyota Yaris has the reliability reputation and the familiarity. Everybody knows what a Yaris is. It is the safest, least surprising choice.

The Suzuki Baleno is a hatchback - smaller boot, slightly cheaper, easier to park.

The JAC J7 is the cheapest of the three to rent, the best equipped, and the only one with a sunroof as standard. The trade-off is an unfamiliar Chinese badge and an unproven long-term reliability record.

On a rental, that trade-off is heavily in the J7's favour. You are not buying the car. You are not taking on the resale risk or the ten-year reliability question. You are renting it for a week or a month, and for that period it is a well-equipped sedan at the lowest price on the market.

If you want the safest choice, take the Yaris. If you want the most car for the least money, take the J7.

How to Book

Filter the six live offers above by price, model year, deposit requirement and mileage allowance. On a budget car the differences between suppliers are small, so shortlist on whether they offer no-deposit and whether they will deliver to you.

Contact the supplier directly - phone, WhatsApp, or request a callback - and mention you found them on OneClickDrive. Ask for photos of the actual car rather than a stock image. Confirm the deposit, the mileage cap and the excess.

Then book directly with the supplier. We charge no commission and add no markup, so booking through OneClickDrive costs you nothing - it just means you compared the market first.

What is the cheapest JAC J7 rental in Dubai?

AED 59 per day, listed on OneClickDrive. Every other supplier currently asks more - ubigo AED 66, Superior Rental AED 69, rent-cars.ae AED 77, Quick Drive AED 88, dubizzle AED 90, Renty AED 98, pbrentacar AED 150. Prices change, so compare the live listings above.

Can I rent a JAC J7 in Dubai with no deposit?

Yes. Several suppliers on OneClickDrive offer the J7 with no security deposit. Standard J7 deposits run AED 500 to AED 1,500 and are held as a pre-authorisation for 20-30 days after the rental ends - so a no-deposit rental is worth filtering for, particularly if you are visiting.

How much is a JAC J7 monthly rental in Dubai?

From AED 1,290 per month on OneClickDrive - the lowest monthly rate in Dubai. That works out at roughly AED 43 per day against a AED 59 daily rate, a saving of nearly 30%. It usually includes comprehensive insurance and 4,000-7,000 km of mileage.

Is it cheaper to rent a J7 monthly or daily?

Monthly, substantially. Thirty days at the daily rate of AED 59 would cost AED 1,770. The monthly rate starts at AED 1,290. If you need the car for more than about three weeks, always take the monthly rate.

What is the security deposit for a JAC J7?

Typically AED 500 to AED 1,500 - modest, because the car is inexpensive. It is held as a pre-authorisation on a credit card rather than charged, and releases 20-30 days after the rental ends. Always pay by credit card, never cash or debit.

How many JAC J7s are available to rent in Dubai?

Six live offers on OneClickDrive at the time of writing, from separate vetted suppliers, spanning 2023 to 2026 model years. That number changes as cars are booked and returned - check the listings above.

What is the minimum age to rent a JAC J7 in Dubai?

Usually 21 - the lowest tier, since the J7 is classed as an economy sedan. Some suppliers also require that you have held your driving licence for at least one year.

Is the JAC J7 a good car?

For a rental, yes. JAC has a long-standing joint venture with Volkswagen and the J7 is better engineered than its price suggests. Most trims include a large touchscreen, reversing camera, cruise control and - unusually at this money - a sunroof. It is not fast or exciting, but it is quiet, economical and well equipped.

Is the JAC J7 fuel efficient?

Yes. It uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine and runs on regular 95 petrol. Over a month of city driving it is one of the cheaper cars to fuel in Dubai.

What is the mileage limit on a J7 rental?

Standard is 250 km per day on a daily rental, and 4,000-7,000 km per month on a monthly rental. Excess mileage is charged per kilometre and the rate varies by supplier - confirm it in writing before booking.

Is insurance included when renting a JAC J7?

Yes, basic comprehensive insurance is included as required by RTA Dubai regulations. It carries an excess of typically AED 750-1,500. A Collision Damage Waiver reduces or removes that excess for around AED 20-40 per day.

Do I need an International Driving Permit?

Visitors need either an IDP or a licence from a country Dubai recognises directly - including the UK, US, Canada, Australia, most EU states and the GCC. UAE residents need a valid UAE licence and Emirates ID.

JAC J7 or Toyota Yaris - which should I rent?

The Yaris is the familiar, proven choice with a strong reliability reputation. The J7 is cheaper, better equipped, and the only one of the two with a sunroof as standard. On a rental you are not taking on the long-term reliability or resale risk - so if you want the most car for the least money, take the J7.

Does OneClickDrive charge commission or booking fees?

No. Zero commission, zero booking fees. You book directly with the rental company at their own price. Using OneClickDrive never costs more than going direct - it simply lets you compare the market first.

Note: The above listings including the prices are updated by the respective car rental company. Incase the car is not available at the price mentioned (exclusive of VAT), please inform us and we’ll get back to you with the best alternative. Happy renting!
