• Bao 8. The Chinese domestic name. A car listed this way usually came in through a route that kept its original documentation.
• Denza B8. The badge on a car sold new through the official channel here, along with trim names such as Executive and Flagship.

• Run the chassis number for outstanding traffic fines and for any accident history. Fines follow the car through the transfer, and on a recent vehicle a cleared record is quick to confirm.

An independent inspection report is still worth having. On a car this new it confirms there is nothing to find, which is useful to hold in writing when you sell.
