The 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera, now in its seventh generation, is even tighter with the road, faster and more dynamic than the one that debuted in 1963. The Carrera uses an electromechanical setup so the road feel is muted to say the least. An efficiency-minded addition in this Carrera is the dual-clutch automatic (PDK) transmission’s coasting function, which returns the engine to idle just about any time the driver lifts off the throttle.
