The 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera, now in its seventh generation, is even tighter with the road, faster and more dynamic than the one that debuted in 1963. An efficiency-minded addition in this Carrera is the dual-clutch automatic (PDK) transmission’s coasting function, which returns the engine to idle just about any time the driver lifts off the throttle.
